Advancing Cancer Awareness and Research
The Marcelle Ruth Cancer Centre (MRCC) Research and Development Department successfully conducted its first public recruitment during the MRCC Cancer Awareness Walk event on February 7, 2025.
As part of our ongoing commitment to cancer awareness and groundbreaking research, we were honored to welcome participants, volunteers, and supporters at the MRCC Cancer Awareness Walk.
Our recruitment process was seamlessly integrated into the event, featuring engaging educational sessions that spotlighted our mission, research goals, and opportunities for participation. This resulted in the successful recruitment of 29 participants into our ongoing research projects, further expanding our efforts to build a robust foundation for cancer research in Africa.
Overall, this event reinforced the need for African-driven data to strengthen cancer studies and improve healthcare outcomes. We are grateful to everyone who contributed to this initiative, and we remain committed to driving impactful research that transforms cancer care across the continent.
